About Mr. Digit and the Battle of Bubbling Brook

Synopsis

Mr. Digit explains the shift to all-number calling in this 1961 film starring Peg Lynch and Alan Bunce ("Ethel and Albert"). Returning from vacation, the couple learns their old number, "Bubbling Brook 3-2468," is changing to seven digits. Animated tutor Mr. Digit, created by ex-Disney animator Chuck Couch, shows Ethel the new system, why numbers are running out, and future communication services. Ethel discovers the change is not as drastic as she feared and she might even like it.
