Le costume du capitaine

Synopsis

Based on a series of comic book panels of the same name, the short film “The Captain’s Costume” continues this exploration of the role of technical devices and the gestures they engender in the process of the subject’s emergence. Singularity - in which it is its own cause - unfolds in every moment just as it extends across all its parts; this forces the imitator of a technical gesture to miss out on two lives: the one he reduces to its final state by imitating it, and his own, which he reduces to nothing during the act of imitation.
