Synopsis

The coming of Jesus Christ to earth, the unknown Tolstoy, the damned Rasputin, the love of King Richard, and the terrible secrets of the Holy Inquisition. All this in a historical film that intertwines entire eras, plunging the viewer into an unimaginable whirlwind of adventure, the eternal struggle for souls, and the all-conquering magic of love. "Crucified" is a feature film based on Leo Tolstoy's notes, which were banned at various times. Religious beliefs and inquisitorial persecution, fear in the eyes of people and their faith in justice, love and hate, nature and humanity—all these themes are reflected in this phantasmagoric film.
