Text safety checks

Your choice before text is sent

When you save text, FilmShuffle sends that submitted text to OpenAI to check the Community Guidelines. This includes private reviews, comments, names, list and Club text, and text you choose to import or share. Unsent drafts, photos, passwords and account identifiers are not sent. Personal information you include in the text is sent with it.

You must make a separate, unchecked choice before your submitted text is sent. Accepting the Terms or Privacy Policy does not make this choice for you. Opening a composer or typing a draft does not send the draft for screening.

Provider processing and errors

OpenAI's published terms say moderation input is not used for training and the moderation endpoint has no abuse-monitoring or application-state retention. FilmShuffle uses the OpenAI moderation endpoint for these checks. The provider receives the text you submit, including personal information you put in that text.

Checks can make mistakes. Some text may be refused under the Community Guidelines or require a safety review. You can edit your draft or contact Support to report a mistaken check. A refused or unavailable check does not automatically publish your text or put it into a publication queue.

If a check is unavailable, the text stays unsaved for you to retry. FilmShuffle stores approval information bound to the account, field and exact text rather than a second copy of the text in the screening records.

Declining or withdrawing consent

You can decline this choice or withdraw it in Settings, under Text safety checks. Withdrawal stops future submitted-text checks after the current request boundary; it cannot recall text already sent. Existing content remains saved. Browsing, data export, reporting and account deletion remain available. Accounts that have completed profile setup can also rate films without submitting text. New accounts need the checks to save their chosen profile name and username and finish setup. Saving names and other text requires the checks while they are active.

After a consent warning, review the choice without closing your composer. Saving your choice does not automatically submit the draft: return to it and deliberately save again.

Questions or a mistaken check

Use Contact / Support and choose Moderation review if a check made a mistake. Do not include a password, authentication code, complete payment-card number, government identification or unnecessary private information.
